Based in San Jose, USA, Polycom is a renowned multination corporation which produces video, content and voice communication systems as well. It was founded in 1990 by Jeffrey Rodman and Brian L Hinman.
The company started by introducing its audio conferencing speakerphones into the market. The company shipped its first SoundStation conference phone in 1992. The product was, then, superseded by the SoundStation 2 in 2004. It then, introduced its very first HD video conferencing technology in 2006.
